Why I Built the World’s First Minimalist AI PDF Scanner

Every time I tried scanning documents, I ran into the same problems — apps cluttered with ads, endless permissions, confusing buttons, and bloated features I didn’t even need. All I wanted was something simple: clean design,

sharp scans, and AI precision.

That’s when the idea of Inkwave was born.
I’m a solo indie developer from India. No team, no investors, just me, Android Studio, and late nights filled with coffee. But I wanted to prove that great software doesn’t need to be heavy, complicated, or locked behind paywalls.

The Journey

This is my second app on the Play Store, and the most ambitious one yet. Building Inkwave taught me so much about Android development, design, and even about myself. There were moments of frustration, but seeing the finished product polished and live made it all worth it.
And today, I’ve taken a huge leap:
